Breaking through a barrier that you don't know you've built around yourself is hard. Because life is full of uncertainties and risks that demand prices you cannot afford to pay, you built barrier to protect yourself from these uncertainties. You keep people around you at arm's length; close enough to make you happy but far away enough to keep your heart safe.
Within the barrier is your haven, your safe place. One where you can keep on hiding you heart from people around you because you are fully aware how vicious people can be. And you are too of a coward to take the burn.
Some days, you feel too isolated that you hated the barrier that you built - because breaking free from the psychological prison takes more than the courage you have within you. But most days, you are content with your life, convincing yourself that you don't need those uncertainties in your life.
Too many risks to take, too many consequences to weigh and you settle for the least. Even if you know life is a gamble, you don't think the reward is high enough for you put in your own stake.

yup...can't deny that because sometimes, I feel the same way.
But, life must go on! Whether the future may bring more uncertainties or happiness, we just have to be prepared for it....
People said that there are three things that we will never get back: time, word and opportunity.
Once an opportunity passes us by, no matter how much we regret it, we'll never get the same chance ever again.
Uncertainties cause us to hesitate to take the chances. Should I take it? Should I do that? We are afraid, well... I am afraid sometimes and I choose the one with the least risk and at the same time, gain an acceptable rewards.
Life is full of uncertainties, we can't never accurately predict what the future may hold for. Sometimes we can have it our way but sometimes it would regrettably took turn for the worst.
But that being human is all about, we sometimes tend to make mistakes. We learn from our mistake, make us wiser in the turn for another chance to come...
